Seat Arosa Audio System Malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Seat Arosa owner reported a complete absence of audio output from the vehicle's sound system. Initial diagnostics pointed to a potentially defective bass speaker as the cause. Another individual with similar experience suggested inspecting the bass speaker, as it can often be the source of such issues. The owner confirmed the bass speaker was defective and replaced it, resolving the problem.

When you indicate 'similar', are you referring to a complete lack of audio output, or simply degraded sound quality? Furthermore, was USB audio or Bluetooth connectivity affected in your case?

Affirmative, the issue presented as a complete loss of audio. The USB audio functionality was also affected at the time, though I do not typically use Bluetooth connectivity so I cannot confirm that aspect. Considering your mileage and the age of the vehicle, a deteriorated speaker is a strong possibility. I would advise consulting a qualified workshop.

Thank you for the advice. The bass speaker was indeed defective, as suspected. Replacement cost amounted to 280€.

I am familiar with the audio setup in the Arosa. I experienced a similar sound quality issue with my Arosa’s factory sound system. Have you inspected the bass speaker specifically? In my experience, this can sometimes be the source when there's no audio output despite the head unit appearing functional.
