Seat Arosa Diesel Preheating Lamp Issue
Summary of the thread
The 2004 Seat Arosa diesel has a persistent preheating lamp issue, likely due to defective glow plugs, as indicated by an error code. Faulty glow plugs can affect fuel efficiency and cause engine misfires, particularly during cold starts. Replacing the glow plugs resolved the problem, eliminating the preheating lamp issue.

Checked the error memory and it says glow plug defective. You had the same error? Did replacing them fix the problem completely?

Yes, the error was identical. Replacing the glow plugs resolved the issue. I would advise getting it checked by a workshop as faulty glow plugs can impact engine combustion, especially during cold starts in a diesel car.

Alright, thanks for the input. Took it to a workshop, and it was indeed the glow plugs. Replaced them, and the light's gone. Total bill was 440€! Ouch!

I had similar issues with my Arosa. Preheating light stayed on, and the car struggled with cold starts. Have you checked the glow plugs themselves? They might be the culprit.
