Interesting. When you say 'similar', do you mean the engine wouldn't start either? Where exactly should I be looking for the relay switch? I'm familiar with the fuse box, but the relay switch is new territory for me. Is that difficult to check?

Yes, the engine wouldn't start at all. It turned out to be a faulty connection in the circuit break. Honestly, unless you're comfortable with electrical diagrams, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. You could spend hours tracing wires yourself.

Your responses gave me enough courage to bring it to the workshop. As suspected, a defective cable near the fuse box caused the issue. 95€ later and my little Arosa is running again!

Sounds like an interrupted power supply to the ignition. I had something similar happen with my Arosa a while back. Check the relay switch and the ignition switch itself. Also, have you checked the fuses? A blown fuse can cause all sorts of headaches.
