Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the connections at the headlight switch yet, but I'll definitely give that a look. As for your question, it seems to be affecting both headlights. Does that make a difference in your diagnosis?

If both headlights are affected, I'd lean towards the control module or a shared component like a power supply. Think of it like a water hose; if only one plant isn't getting water, the problem's likely at the plant. But if all the plants are dry, the issue is probably closer to the spigot. Given the symptoms and the potential for it being the control module, you may want to get it checked professionally. Messing with the lighting system can be tricky, and you don't want to make it worse.

Just wanted to say I took your advice and went to the workshop. You were spot on! They diagnosed a defective servomotor in the headlight and unfortunately, the whole repair including a new headlight and calibration set me back about 1040€. Ouch. But at least the auto-leveling system is working again, and the warning light is gone. Thanks again for your help!

Sounds like a pain. Have you checked the connections to the headlight switch itself? A loose connection there could mess with the signals to the control module. Also, is it both headlights or just one that's acting up? Knowing that could help narrow it down.
