Thanks for the reply! When you say 'loose connection', where should I be looking? Is there a particular sensor or plug that's known to cause trouble on the Arosa?

In my case, it turned out to be a corroded connector on one of the fuel injectors. It's worth inspecting all the connections you can find related to the injection system. If you're not comfortable poking around too much, it might be best to take it to a workshop. They have the tools to properly diagnose the system and pinpoint the exact problem, which could save you time and potentially avoid making things worse! I also run on gasoline, not diesel, so maintenance is very important for these cars to avoid fuel issues.

I wanted to share that the workshop confirmed a faulty connection in the injection system. They cleaned everything and charged me 95€. The car runs much better now, thanks for the help!

I had a similar issue with my Arosa a while back. Same symptoms: rough idle, choking when accelerating, and higher fuel consumption. Have you checked the basics like the air filter and spark plugs? With those symptoms, the injection system is a likely culprit. Sometimes it's just a loose connection or a dirty sensor causing the problem.
