Seat Arosa Oil Pressure Warning Light Issue

Oil level is fine, checked that immediately. Regarding the diagnostics, error memory shows a faulty engine oil temperature sensor. But is it really the sensor, or could it be something else causing it to throw the code?

Sounds like the exact same problem I had. The temp sensor was throwing codes and triggering the oil pressure light. It's likely the sensor itself or the wiring to it, like you suspect. Save yourself the headache and get it checked at a workshop. They can pinpoint the exact issue and replace the faulty automotive sensor.

Acknowledged, and thanks for the confirmation. Took it to a workshop; diagnostics confirmed the oil temperature sensor fault. They found a defective connection. 95€ later, warning lights are gone and error memory is clear.

I had a similar issue with my Arosa, although it was a petrol engine. The oil pressure light can be a real pain. Did you check the simple stuff first, like the oil level itself? And have you done any car diagnostics to pull the error code?
