Seat Ateca AC Problems

Hi, hoping someone can help. My 2023 Seat Ateca with a diesel engine is giving me grief. The AC has completely stopped cooling. The AC system doesn't even seem to switch on. I suspect it might be a defect in the valves of the AC system. Before I take it in, has anyone experienced similar AC efficiency problems? Trying to get an idea of potential AC diagnostics issues.

Hey, I have a Seat Ateca too, and I had a similar issue last year. The AC just stopped working. Did you check the blower motor? Also, is the temperature control working correctly on both sides, or is one side warmer than the other?

Thanks! The blower seems fine, I can hear it running, but only hot air comes out. Temperature control seems off, driver's side is warmer. Was it definitely the valves in your case, and did you notice any AC noise before it failed completely?

Sounds very similar to what I had. The blower motor was running fine in my case too, but the air was just warm. Definitely get the valves checked. I didn't notice any AC noise beforehand, it just suddenly stopped working one day. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop; they'll be able to confirm the issue.

Thanks for confirming. Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. Quoted 1000€ for valve replacement. Ouch, but at least it'll be fixed. Appreciate the help!
