Seat Ateca AC Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Seat Ateca with a diesel engine is experiencing AC problems, where the system has stopped cooling and doesn't seem to switch on. The suspected cause is a defect in the AC system's valves. A similar issue was resolved by checking and replacing the valves, which was confirmed by a workshop diagnosis.

Thanks! The blower seems fine, I can hear it running, but only hot air comes out. Temperature control seems off, driver's side is warmer. Was it definitely the valves in your case, and did you notice any AC noise before it failed completely?

Sounds very similar to what I had. The blower motor was running fine in my case too, but the air was just warm. Definitely get the valves checked. I didn't notice any AC noise beforehand, it just suddenly stopped working one day. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop; they'll be able to confirm the issue.

Thanks for confirming. Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. Quoted 1000€ for valve replacement. Ouch, but at least it'll be fixed. Appreciate the help!

Hey, I have a Seat Ateca too, and I had a similar issue last year. The AC just stopped working. Did you check the blower motor? Also, is the temperature control working correctly on both sides, or is one side warmer than the other?
