Seat Ateca Automatic Transmission Problem

My 2018 Seat Ateca diesel with 60912 km on the clock is acting up. The automatic transmission shifts strangely, and the transmission indicator light is on. Doesn't shift as usual, feels like emergency mode. Suspect the automatic transmission oil is worn out. Anyone experienced this?

I had similar implausible shifting behavior in my Ateca automatic transmission. Check the hydraulic fluid level first. Could be a slipping transmission issue. Was the transmission indicator light on?

Interesting, did your automatic transmission go into emergency mode as well? Was it also related to transmission performance issues or something else entirely?

Yes, the automatic transmission went into emergency mode. The garage mentioned undervoltage could cause the slipping transmission. I'd suggest getting the automatic transmission checked at a workshop.

Thanks for the insight. Turns out undervoltage was the culprit, leading to the transmission oil issue. A transmission flush and addressing the voltage problem cost me 240€. Transmission performance seems back to normal.
