Seat Ateca Damping Adjustment Fault

My 2017 Seat Ateca, diesel engine, 146083 km on the clock. Got a damping adjustment fault. Error stored, warning light on the dash, and the ride's gone bumpy. Reckon it's a cable or plug, but where to start?

Sounds familiar. Had similar suspension failure on my old Renault Megane. Was the ride comfort affected? Did you check the shock absorber connections?

Connections, eh? Where exactly should I be looking?

Yeah, same symptoms. Bumpy ride, warning light, the works. The garage found a corroded connector on the shock absorber itself. Is it worth messing about when a workshop will find it in minutes?

Cheers for the help. Turned out to be a dodgy plug on the shock absorber. 95€ and it's sorted.
