Seat Ateca Diesel Engine Problems

My Seat Ateca from is giving me headaches. The check engine light is on, and I’ve noticed reduced engine power and rough engine running. I scanned it, and it shows an error related to the intake air temperature sensor. Could a faulty air temperature sensor really cause all these problems?

I had a similar issue with my Ateca. Check engine light, rough running, loss of power… Sounds like the intake air temperature sensor to me. Has the error code been read out?

Yeah, the error code points to the intake air temperature sensor. Was it a straightforward fix, and did replacing the air temperature sensor resolve all the engine issues you were experiencing?

Yes, replacing the car sensor fixed it completely. Given the symptoms and the error code pointing directly to the temperature reading of the air sensor, it's highly probable that's your problem. Considering the mileage, the intake air temperature sensor is a likely culprit. I recommend a workshop to handle the replacement.

Took your advice and got the air sensor replaced at a workshop. Cost me 155€. Runs like new now, thanks!
