Seat Ateca Diesel Engine Stalling and Faulty Rail Pressure Sensor

Thanks for the quick reply! I did a quick visual check of the wiring, but didn't see anything obvious. I do have an OBD2 scanner. Is the fault code enough to confirm the sensor is bad, or are there other things it could be?

The fault code strongly suggests a sensor issue, especially given the symptoms you're describing. While other issues could potentially cause similar symptoms, a faulty sensor is the most probable cause. Considering the potential impact on engine performance, I would recommend having a workshop confirm the diagnosis and replace the sensor. Ignoring it could lead to further problems with the diesel engine fuel system.

Just wanted to let you know, I took the Ateca to a mechanic, and you were spot on. The fuel pressure sensor was faulty. They replaced it, and the total cost was 240€. Thanks for your help!

Faulty rail pressure sensor signal on a 2022 Ateca diesel with those symptoms points strongly to a sensor issue. Have you checked the sensor's wiring and connector for any signs of damage or corrosion? Also, can you retrieve the specific fault code using an OBD2 scanner?
