Seat Ateca Engine Trouble
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Seat Ateca with 62,542 km was experiencing engine trouble, including a check engine light, rough idling, stalling, and jerking during acceleration. The initial suspicion was a faulty fuel pressure sensor or fuel pump, possibly due to a defective cable or plug connection. After consulting with others, it was suggested to check the connection to the fuel pressure sensor. Upon inspection at a workshop, a defective connection to the fuel pressure sensor was confirmed and resolved, leading to the car running smoothly again.

Interesting. No noticeable difference in fuel consumption, and no gas smell. When you say similar, was it the fuel pump itself, or something else? Any idea what the fix was?

Mine was just a bad connection to the fuel pressure sensor. Apparently, it's a known issue. I'd get it checked out at a workshop; they'll diagnose it properly. It's worth looking into before you start replacing the fuel pump or injectors.

I took your advice and brought it to the workshop. You were spot on! It was a defective connection to the fuel pressure sensor. They cleaned the contacts and re-seated the plug. The check engine light is off, and the car is running smoothly again. Total cost was 95€, which is a relief. Thanks again for your help!

Sounds like a fuel issue alright. I had something similar happen with my Ateca. Check engine light, rough idle, the whole shebang. Did you notice any difference in fuel consumption or smell any gas?
