Seat Ateca engine trouble

Reduced engine power and jerking, that doesn't sound good. Has the check engine light been on for a while? Maybe try cleaning the mass airflow sensor. I had a similar issue once, and that fixed it temporarily. But if it's stalling, it could be something more serious with the fuel injection. Is it running rough all the time, or just when it's cold?

The check engine light is on constantly now. I cleaned the mass airflow sensor, but it didn't change anything. You mentioned fuel injection, could a bad injector really cause all these problems, even stalling? And would that show up on a diagnostic scan?

Yeah, a faulty injector can cause all those symptoms, especially stalling. And yes, it should definitely show up on a diagnostic scan. If the check engine light is on constantly, I'd say it's time to take it to a workshop and get it properly diagnosed. They can test the injectors and see if one is failing. Good luck!

Just wanted to let you know, the problem is resolved. It was indeed a faulty fuel injector. Replaced all four, and the car's running great again. Total cost 515€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
