Thanks for the quick reply! The key fob does work, and the central locking is fine. Where is the fuse for the fuel flap located? And what do you mean by electric actuator? Is that part of the release mechanism?

Yes, the electric actuator is a small motor that physically pushes the fuel flap open when you press the release. The fuse box location should be in your owner's manual, but I didn't find anything there. If the key fob is working for everything else, it probably isn't a fuse. It's likely the electric actuator itself. I suggest taking it to a workshop; they can diagnose it properly.

Took the Ateca to the workshop. It was the electric actuator for the fuel flap. They replaced it, cleared the error memory, and everything's working now. The cost was 210€. Thanks for your help. It saved me a lot of time!

I had a similar issue with my Ateca! The fuel flap wouldn't open sometimes. Does your key fob work? Have you checked the fuse box? It could also be the release mechanism or the electric actuator that's failed. It's a small electric motor. Any weird noises when you try to open it?
