Seat Cordoba Automatic Temperature Control Problem
Summary of the thread
The 2007 Seat Cordoba's automatic temperature control stopped working, with diagnostics indicating an error related to the interior temperature sensor. The air conditioning system was also non-functional, suggesting a possible faulty cable or plug connection. The issue was resolved by replacing the interior temperature sensor at a garage, restoring the climate control system to proper working order.

Thanks for the quick reply! I've had a quick look at the connector, but I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. Is there an easy way to test the wiring to see if that's the problem?

Yeah, it really does sound like a dodgy connection. If you're not comfortable testing the wiring yourself, I'd honestly suggest taking it to a workshop. Messing with electricals can be a real headache, and you could end up causing more problems. For that model, sensor replacement shouldn't be too expensive; it's probably a quick job. It's like when your house thermostat goes bust - everything just goes haywire!

Just letting you know I got it sorted. Took it to a garage. They confirmed it was the interior temperature sensor. New sensor and fitting came to 95€. Climate control is working perfectly again. Thanks a lot for your help!

Sounds like a pain! If the air conditioning isn't even switching on, and you're getting a fault code, it does point to the temperature sensor being the culprit. Have you checked the wiring and connector to the sensor itself? A loose connection can cause all sorts of havoc.
