Seat Cordoba Central Locking Problem

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2007 Seat Cordoba with a gasoline engine. The central locking system has completely stopped working. Neither the remote locking nor the key itself can lock or unlock the doors. The diagnostics tool is showing an error related to the central locking system, pointing towards a defective cable or plug connection. Could this really be the cause, or am I missing something obvious? Is it worth trying to fix myself or should I take it directly to the workshop?

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my Cordoba. Have you checked the fuses? It could be a simple fix. If not, it might be the door lock actuator. Is the key fob still working?

The error message is what made me think of it. If you're getting a specific error about a cable or connection, it's probably worth getting it checked by a pro. It could be a pain to diagnose yourself. 95€ sounds like a fair price to get it sorted. Is it worth the hassle for you?

Thanks for the quick reply. I did check the fuses, and they seem fine. The key fob is sending a signal, but the door locks aren't responding. How did you figure out it was the door lock actuator on your car? Did you get any error messages?

I followed your advice and went to the workshop. They confirmed the cable issue and replaced it. It cost me 95€, and now my central locking is working perfectly again. Thanks a lot for your help!
