Seat Cordoba climate control issue

I am experiencing a malfunction with the climate control in my 2002 Seat Cordoba, equipped with a diesel engine, mileage at 113788 km. The air conditioning no longer cools, and the error memory stores a fault related to the rear ventilation flap. System diagnostics suggest a defective cable or plug connection of the component. Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

I also own a Cordoba, though I'm unsure of the exact year. I had a similar issue with my air conditioning not cooling properly. The error memory stored a fault related to air circulation. Have you checked the fuses? Sometimes it's a simple fix. Also, when you say "rear ventilation flap," are you referring to the flap that controls air distribution to the rear of the car? Just trying to understand the situation fully.

Yes, I am referring to the flap that controls air distribution to the rear. I have checked the fuses, and they appear to be in order. Did you also experience malfunctions of the automatic climate control unit, in addition to the reduced air conditioning performance?

Yes, I remember now. The automatic climate was acting erratically as well. If the fuses are okay and you've confirmed the flap is the issue via system diagnostics, it does sound like a wiring or connector problem as suspected. Honestly, I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They were able to pinpoint the exact break in the connection and repair it relatively quickly. Saved me a lot of time troubleshooting. Good luck.

Thank you for the confirmation. The problem was indeed a defective plug connection on the rear ventilation flap. After system diagnostics and HVAC repair, the air conditioning is functioning again. The repair cost me 95€.
