Seat Cordoba Coolant Loss Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Seat Cordoba is experiencing coolant loss and a check engine light, with error codes suggesting a possible defective cable or plug connection, potentially indicating a faulty sensor. The issue could be due to loose clamps or air pockets, but a pressure test at a workshop is recommended if no visible leaks are found. Ultimately, the problem was confirmed to be a faulty connection, which was resolved at a workshop, eliminating the check engine light.

Thanks! I've glanced around, but nothing obvious jumps out. You mentioned loose clamps – were they visibly loose, or did you only find out when you tightened them? And what about air pockets? Could that cause this?

Mine wasn't obviously loose at first, but I could wiggle it a bit. Air pockets could definitely cause issues and give you false readings. But if you're losing coolant, it's got to be going somewhere. If you can't find the leak, getting it pressure tested at a workshop might be the best bet.

Just got the Seat back from the workshop. Turns out it was indeed a dodgy connection, just as suspected. 95€ lighter, but at least the light's gone. Appreciate the help!

Low coolant can be a pain. Had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. The check engine light kept popping up. Did you check for any obvious coolant leaks under the car or around the radiator hoses? Sometimes it's as simple as a loose clamp.
