Seat Cordoba Diesel engine trouble
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Seat Cordoba diesel engine was experiencing issues such as a check engine light, reduced power, and rough idling. A diagnostic tool indicated a faulty intake air temperature sensor as the potential cause. After replacing the sensor, the engine's performance improved significantly, confirming the sensor was the issue.

Yeah, it's throwing a code related to the intake air temperature. I'm just wondering if it's definitely the sensor itself or could it be something else messing with the temperature reading?

Yeah, in my experience, if the car diagnostics are pointing at the intake air temperature sensor, it probably is. I wouldn't mess with it too much. Take it to a workshop.

Cheers for the advice! Turns out the intake air temperature sensor was indeed the culprit. Got it replaced, cost me 155€. Runs like a champ now. Lesson learned diagnostic tool is my new best friend!

Sounds familiar. Had similar engine issues with my Renault a while back. Check engine light and all. Could be the temperature reading. Is the diagnostic tool spitting out any error codes?
