Seat Cordoba door lock problem

I am experiencing an issue with my 2002 Seat Cordoba diesel. With a mileage of 68146 km, the doors can no longer be locked or unlocked. I suspect a defective door contact signal. Is this likely due to a faulty cable or plug connection to the component?

I had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane. The car alarm would randomly go off, and sometimes the doors wouldn't lock. It could be the door sensor playing up. Does your car have any other electrical issues?

Yes, the locking was erratic, and the car alarm was triggered. I'm no expert, but it sounds like the door sensor to me. I would recommend taking it to a workshop to get it checked out properly.

I appreciate the insight. The workshop confirmed it was a faulty cable connection in the door. Total cost came to 95€. Everything's working as it should now.
