Seat Cordoba engine issue

Where exactly should I be looking? I'm not super familiar with the turbocharger setup. Is it easy to spot the intake hose?

Yeah, the intake hose runs from the air filter box to the turbocharger inlet. It's usually a black rubber hose, fairly thick. If it's split, you might see cracks or feel air escaping when the engine is running. If you're not comfortable tackling it yourself, a garage should be able to do a leak detection test. It might be difficult to see, so consider getting it to the workshop.

Thanks for the help. It was a split in the intake hose, just like you said. I had a new hose fitted. The check engine light is off, and she's running much better. The repair cost 100€ at the garage.

Sounds like an air leak. I had similar symptoms with my Seat Ibiza: higher fuel consumption and a hissing noise. Check the intake hoses, especially the one between the air filter and the turbocharger. It could be a split or loose connection.
