Seat Cordoba Key Battery Issue

I am writing to inquire about a problem I am experiencing with my 2007 Seat Cordoba, which has a diesel engine. I am receiving a 'key battery low' warning. The keyless access feature is no longer functioning, an error message is stored in the error memory, and unlocking and locking the vehicle is proving difficult. I suspect that the battery in the electronic key may be depleted. Could this be the cause?

I had a similar problem with my Cordoba's electronic key a while back. The keyless entry stopped working, and I got a 'low battery' warning on the dashboard. Have you tried using your spare key to see if the problem persists?

Yes, I tried the spare key, and it does the same thing. The low battery warning is still there, and the keyless access doesn't work. Is there anything else that could be causing this?

If both keys are showing the same 'low battery' warning, it's highly likely that the batteries in both keys are indeed low. These key batteries don't last forever. I would suggest visiting a workshop to have the batteries replaced in both car keys. It is a quick job.

Thank you for the advice. It was indeed the key battery. I had it replaced at the workshop for 37€ and everything is working properly again.
