Seat Cordoba stuck in transport mode

My 2006 Seat Cordoba, gasoline engine, seems to be stuck in transport mode. The car electronics are exhibiting general malfunctions and the navigation system is non-functional. Given the car's age, this seems highly improbable. Any ideas?

I encountered a somewhat similar situation with my Cordoba, although I'm uncertain if the underlying cause is identical. The symptoms you described align with an issue I experienced after the car's battery was completely drained. Did this occur recently? It could be that the car electronics entered a protected state, perhaps a transport mode. Have you inspected the immobilizer? The navigation system's malfunction could be a related symptom. A diagnostic check using appropriate tools may reveal if the vehicle's software requires a software adjustment or a configuration reset.

Interesting. Regarding the transport mode, can you elaborate? What exactly needed to be done to exit this mode? I'm trying to avoid unnecessary workshop visits if possible. I'd like to understand if there is anything I can attempt myself first.

Certainly. In my case, the transport mode was indeed the root cause. Unfortunately, resolving it required specialized tools and software access, things that are typically available at a certified repair facility. While I understand your desire to avoid a workshop visit, a diagnostic check is necessary to confirm whether this is the source of your problem. Car configuration may be needed in order to return the vehicle to a normal operating state.

Acknowledged. The problem was indeed related to the transport mode. A diagnostic check at the workshop, followed by a car configuration reset, resolved the issue. Thanks for your assistance.
