Seat Exeo Audio System Failure

Thanks for the tip! I did check the fuses, all seem fine. The weird thing is, the system powers on, but there's no sound, just a faint static noise. The error memory has a fault stored related to the display. Was your Renault's problem also related to the display or head unit?

Yep, mine ended up being the head unit itself. Apparently, a common issue with that model. The mechanic said something about internal failure and that it needed a complete replacement. Given your error code points to the display, it's likely the culprit. Honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis before throwing money at it. Could save you some hassle in the long run.

The workshop confirmed it's the display unit. They quoted 725€ for the repair. It's a bit steep, but I need the audio for my daily commute. Thanks again for sharing your experience, it helped me prepare for the diagnosis.

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. The whole audio system went kaput. No sound, just static noise from the car speakers. Did you check the fuses? That's the first thing the mechanic told me to look at.
