I have been experiencing a constellation of symptoms that strongly suggest a boost pressure actuator fault. The check engine light has illuminated itself, accompanied by a discernible reduction in engine power and a rather disheartening sluggishness in engine response. Furthermore, I have noticed a peculiar whistling noise, coupled with a rather alarming loud hissing sound upon acceleration. On occasion, the engine has even exhibited a tendency to stall at idle, and fuel consumption appears to have increased noticeably. Could this be attributed to a defective electrical bypass valve causing a turbo wastegate malfunction and ultimately leading to a boost leak?

Would a simple visual inspection suffice, or would more specialized equipment be required?

I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. It seems my suspicions were indeed correct. I took it to a trusted workshop, and after a thorough inspection, they confirmed the electrical bypass valve was defective, causing the boost pressure actuator fault. They replaced it, and the car is now running smoothly again. The repair cost me approximately 250€. I am glad it is resolved now. Thank you again for your help!
