Seat Exeo Diesel Stalling at Idle

Need some help! My 2013 Seat Exeo diesel is throwing a fit. The check engine light is on, and it keeps stalling at idle. Plugged it in, and it's showing an "incorrect fuel composition" error. I'm thinking maybe a bad sensor or something messing with the combustion chamber? I've already tried some fuel additives, but no luck. Mileage is at 100117 km. The error memory suggests it could be the cable or plug connection. Any ideas?

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Exeo. Check engine light and stalling, the whole shebang. Did you check the fuel filter?

Yeah, mine was a loose connection somewhere in the fuel system wiring. Didn't really notice a change in fuel economy, but it was definitely annoying! I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get the wiring checked. Could save you a lot of headaches.

Interesting... What exactly was wrong with yours? And did it affect your fuel economy or anything else?

Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Turns out it was a dodgy connector on the fuel system. They cleaned it up, and the error is gone. Cost me 95€, but at least it's sorted!
