Seat Exeo emergency call malfunction

My 2010 Seat Exeo, equipped with a diesel engine, is experiencing an emergency call system malfunction. The error is stored in the error memory, accompanied by an error message and warning light. Based on initial assessment, the likely cause is a defective cable or plug connection within the system. Has anyone encountered similar issues?

Interesting issue. I had a similar problem with my Seat Leon. The error message and warning light were quite annoying. Have you checked the diagnostic codes? Sometimes, a simple reset can resolve these automotive electronics glitches, but it's crucial to understand the underlying cause. It could be a temporary communication error within the car safety system.

Yes, I have checked the diagnostic codes. The error memory indicates a malfunction in the emergency call system. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Did your Leon also point to a specific component or connection?

Indeed, my Leon had a similar diagnostic code pointing to the emergency call system. The problem was intermittent, but ultimately required attention. Given your assessment and the stored error, I'd suggest a visit to a workshop equipped to diagnose and repair automotive electronics. It's likely a faulty connection, but proper diagnostics are essential to confirm and prevent recurrence. Car safety systems shouldn't be ignored.

Understood, I appreciate the confirmation. The issue was indeed a faulty connector in the emergency call system control module. The workshop replaced the connector and cleared the diagnostic codes. Total cost was 95€. Thank you for your assistance.
