Seat Exeo Multifunction Steering Wheel Problem

I'm experiencing a problem with the multifunction steering wheel on my 2009 Seat Exeo diesel. The steering controls have stopped working entirely. I've scanned for error codes, and it's showing an error related to the steering wheel. From what I've read, a likely cause is a defective cable connection in the steering wheel. Has anyone else encountered something similar?

I recall facing a similar predicament with my previous Volvo some time ago. The multifunction steering controls ceased functioning, and vehicle diagnostics pinpointed an electrical fault. Have you explored the possibility of a sensor issue within the steering wheel assembly?

That's interesting. When you say 'sensor issue', are you referring to a specific sensor, or just a general problem within the steering wheel electronics? Any idea how they diagnosed it on your Volvo?

In my case, the vehicle diagnostics indicated a fault within the steering wheel control module, which subsequently affected the sensor readings. It is advisable to seek professional assistance for precise diagnosis and repair; a workshop should be able to confirm a faulty cable connection.

Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a defective cable connection in the steering wheel. They sorted it out for 95€. Thanks again for the help!
