You mention checking the siren connection. Was that something you were able to do yourself or did you need special tools or knowledge? I'm reasonably handy, but I do not want to make things worse.

I was not able to fix it myself. I tried some things, but I would suggest you take it to a workshop to check the alarm system. It could be a simple fix, like a loose connection, but it's best to have a professional look at it to avoid further damage.

Took it to the local shop as suggested. They identified the faulty connection, cleaned it up, and secured it properly. Alarm system is now functioning as expected. Bill came to 95€ Thanks for the advice!

That's a tricky one. I had a similar issue with my automotive alarm on a Renault Megane. Although it was a different make and model, it also kept throwing an error and the alarm was completely dead. Have you checked the siren connection?
