Seat Formentor Diesel Fuel Filter Heater Error

Alright, I'm stumped. My 2022 Seat Formentor with a diesel engine is giving me grief. It's done 137657 km. The error memory keeps throwing a fuel filter heater error. I'm experiencing reduced engine power, poor engine response, higher fuel consumption, and uneven idling. Could it be as simple as a faulty cable or plug connection? Anyone else had this?

Have you considered that the fuel filter itself might be the culprit? When was the last time you did a filter replacement? And what about the fuel system in general? Is there any chance of contamination?
