Seat Formentor Door Lock Issue

I'm having a problem with my 2020 Seat Formentor with a gasoline engine. It has about 161646 km on it. The door on the driver's side can no longer be locked or unlocked. I suspect it's related to a faulty door contact signal, as the car doesn't seem to 'know' when the door is open or closed. Could this be a simple electrical issue with the door sensor, maybe a bad cable or plug connection? I'm trying to avoid a costly repair if it's something minor.

Yes, my issue also prevented locking/unlocking. The door switch is integrated into the door latch mechanism, so it is not easily visible. Just wanted to say it was the door sensor. The workshop replaced it. Cost 95€, which I think is reasonable. Thanks again for your help!
