Seat Formentor Headlight Range Fault

I have a problem with my 2021 Seat Formentor diesel. I'm getting a 'headlight range control fault' error, and the warning light is on. The low beams seem to shine too far down sometimes and too far up other times. The car has 61618 km.

I had a similar issue with my Opel Insignia a few years back, the adaptive headlights were acting up. I think it might be a problem with the control module that manages the light intensity. Have you checked if the headlight switch is properly connected? Or maybe there's an issue with the auto-leveling system?

Control module, you mean the one that controls the headlight range? How did you figure out it was that on your Opel? And how can I check the headlight switch?

In my case, the error memory pointed towards a malfunction in the headlight adjustment. I wasn't able to fix it myself. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. It does sound like a defective servomotor in the headlight.

Thanks for the help. I took it to the shop and you were right, it was a defective servomotor. Cost me 1040€ to replace.
