Seat Formentor Hybrid Automatic Transmission Issues

I'm at my wit's end with my 2022 Seat Formentor hybrid. The automatic gearbox is driving me insane! The automatic transmission has started acting like a total donkey. Implausible shifting behavior, the transmission indicator light comes on intermittently, and sometimes it just refuses to shift properly, slamming the automatic transmission into what feels like emergency mode. I suspect the hydraulic fluid is to blame due to undervoltage, but I'm no mechanic. Has anyone experienced similar automatic transmission issues?

Hmm, that sounds a bit familiar. I have a Formentor too, and I had some weird automatic transmission behavior a while back. The car transmission was acting all jerky, especially when shifting between gears. I am no expert, but I wonder if it could be the same thing?

Interesting... When you say 'jerky', do you mean like a slipping transmission feeling? And did your warning light come on, or did the automatic transmission go into some kind of emergency mode? Because that's exactly what's happening to me! Any more details would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, slipping transmission is a good way to describe it. And yes, the car went into limp mode a couple of times. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it too much yourself. I'd recommend getting it checked out by a workshop that knows their stuff with automatic gearboxes.

Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience! I took your advice and went straight to the workshop. Turns out, it was indeed the automatic transmission oil – completely knackered due to undervoltage! They flushed it, replaced the hydraulic fluid, and did some adaptation stuff. Cost me 240€, but the gearbox is now shifting like butter. Crisis averted!
