Seat Formentor Hybrid Error Troubleshooting

I'm having an issue with my 2023 Seat Formentor hybrid. I'm getting an error stored, the gear selection isn't showing on the speedometer, cruise control is dead, and sometimes the engine just refuses to start. Could a bad clutch switch be the cause? I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Any ideas?

An electrical fault affecting the clutch switch on a hybrid vehicle can indeed cause a cascade of issues. The gear selection display and cruise control malfunction, coupled with starting problems, strongly suggest the clutch switch isn't signaling correctly to the ECU. Have you checked the wiring harness and connector to the clutch switch for any visible damage or corrosion?

Where exactly is the clutch switch located, and is it something I could potentially fix myself, or am I better off taking it to a workshop?

The clutch switch is typically located near the clutch pedal assembly. While a visual inspection of the wiring and connector is advisable, given the symptoms and the error code, it's likely an intermittent signal issue. If you lack experience with automotive electrical systems, I would recommend a workshop visit. These issues can be deceptive and without proper diagnostic tools, you may cause more problems than you solve. Remember when a colleague of mine tried fixing his car himself and ended up with a fried ECU? Sometimes professional intervention is the most cost-effective approach.

It was the clutch pedal switch. A faulty connection was found, as suspected. 95€ later and everything is working perfectly. Thanks for your help.
