Seat Formentor Key Battery Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Seat Formentor owner experienced a 'key battery low' warning, leading to unreliable keyless access and unlocking functions. The issue was identified as a dead key fob battery. Replacing the battery resolved the problem, restoring full functionality to the keyless entry system. If similar issues persist after a battery replacement, further investigation at a workshop may be necessary.

So, your keyless access also stopped working? And the battery replacement fixed it completely?

Yes, the keyless access stopped functioning correctly. I could still start the car, but the range was severely limited, and the error message was persistent. Replacing the battery resolved all the issues I was facing. If replacing the battery doesn't solve your issue, you might need to consult a workshop to check for other potential problems.

It was indeed the fob battery. Got it replaced for 37€ at a local shop. Keyless entry is working again. Thanks for your help!

I have a Formentor as well. I experienced something similar recently. The car started displaying a 'low battery' warning for the key fob. Have you tried replacing the battery in the key?
