Thank you for your response. Regarding sensor testing, could you elaborate on the specific tests you carried out on your Volvo to pinpoint the faulty sensor and heater element? Also, what was the eventual repair cost?

In my case, the error memory pointed specifically to the heater element within the oxygen sensor as being defective. I did not perform the repair myself. I suggest visiting a workshop for sensor testing. The eventual repair cost for my Volvo was comparable to the 95€ you mentioned; however, I advise obtaining a precise estimate beforehand from your mechanic.

I appreciate your assistance. The defective oxygen sensor has been identified and replaced. The total cost, including sensor testing and labor, amounted to 95€. The malfunction indicator is now off.

The oxygen sensor heater failure can indeed cause the symptoms you described. I experienced a similar problem with my 2018 Volvo V90. The check engine light illuminated, and a diagnostic scan revealed a faulty sensor. Have you performed any sensor testing to confirm the faulty sensor?
