Seat heating defective in 2024 Renault Arkana: experience and solutions wanted

Hey guys, I have a problem with my 2024 Renault Arkana, gasoline engine, has already run over 86k. The seat heating is acting up and doesn't do anything. Had heard something about seat heating being faulty. Has anyone out there ever had the same problem and can report how it was solved by their mechanic? Especially after my last experience with the mechanic, I don't really trust them. Thanks in advance!

Summary of the thread

A 2024 Renault Arkana owner is experiencing issues with the seat heating not functioning. A similar problem was reported by another Renault owner, who found that a faulty ECU was the cause, affecting not only the seat heating but also critical systems like brakes and steering. The solution involved replacing the control unit, which resolved the issues, including the seat heating. It is suggested to have the vehicle checked by a mechanic to address the problem and ensure safety.

Hi, had the same problem with my 2021 Renault Kadjar, my ECU was faulty and this needed to be fixed. Turns out this error message doesn't just affect the seat heating but can throw the whole car into chaos, had problems with the brakes and steering amongst other things. On my last visit to the garage, they replaced the control unit and everything worked fine again. It was definitely a serious fault that you shouldn't ignore. Hopefully this will help you. All the best!

Hi, thanks for your reply! That sounds like quite a mess, especially with the brakes and steering. Do you remember what you paid for the repair? Has anything else come up since replacing the ECU, or is your Kadjar running smoothly now? Thanks in advance!

Hello, yes, it really was quite a mess! In my case, replacing the control unit cost €1000 - pretty steep, I know. But since then my Kadjar has been running like clockwork and I've had no more worries. And the best thing is that the seat heating now works perfectly again. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and put the money on the table for repairs. All the best to you and your Arkana, hopefully you'll get it fixed quickly!

Hey, thanks for your quick reply and the info! 1000€ is really a lot of money, but I don't want to risk my brakes or steering failing. And the fact that your seat heating is working again gives me some hope. I think I'll just have to get it checked out and see what happens. Thanks again for your help and all the best for you and your Kadjar!
