Hey, thanks for your feedback. Wow, that sounds like a lot of work! Can you still remember how much it cost you? And has anything else come up since then?

Yes, the repair was extensive, but fortunately everything is now running smoothly again. After the visit to the mechanic, the failure of the seat heating was fixed. I had to fork out €390 to repair the defective heating mat on the seat. It wasn't exactly cheap, but since the repair the seat heating has worked perfectly and no further problems have arisen. So, in my opinion, it was worth the money.

Great, thanks for the detailed information! It does sound quite expensive, but if it's worth it and everything runs smoothly again, then that's the main thing. Thanks for your advice, I think I'll have a well made in the workshop. Bye!

Hi, I had the same problem with my Toyota Auris (built in 2010). It was in fact the heating mat under the seat that was defective. Had to have it replaced in the workshop. It was no small job as the whole seat cover had to be removed to work on the heating mat. It's not the end of the world, but certainly not a DIY project unless you really know your stuff. Hope this helps you!
