Seat Ibiza Diesel Cylinder Pressure Issue

I have a 2015 Seat Ibiza diesel with about 93000 km. I'm seeing higher fuel consumption, reduced engine power, and the check engine light is on. The ECU scan shows a cylinder pressure fluctuation error. I think it's a consequential error, but I'm unsure where to begin.

That does sound concerning. Any unusual engine noises? Has the car had regular servicing, including fuel injector cleaning or checks? Could be worn piston rings or even something camshaft related, but those are just guesses. Start with the basics first.

Okay, sounds like you've covered some ground. By basic, I meant looking for obvious leaks and proper airflow. Since that specific code is showing, a sensor or related component might be giving a false reading. If you're not comfortable testing sensors, a trusted workshop might be a good idea before replacing the crankshaft or messing with the fuel injector.

No unusual noises. Servicing has been regular. When you say basic checks, what do you mean? I've checked air filters and glow plugs. Are there specific sensors related to cylinder pressure I should check?

Turns out the cylinder pressure fluctuation error stemmed from a faulty sensor on the intake manifold. Replacing it resolved everything. Fuel consumption is normal again, power is back, and the check engine light is gone. Repair was 0€ under guarantee. Thanks for the help!
