The temperature gauge seems to be acting normal, but I am not sure. When you say 'unusual readings', what exactly should I look for? Should I be looking at getting a new air sensor then?

Yes, the temperature gauge fluctuating erratically or staying at an extreme end of the scale. Since yours appears normal, it is likely the connection. Took the Ibiza to a workshop, and you were spot on. They checked the charge sensor and the cable was indeed faulty. I'm so relieved it wasn't anything major. Cost me 95€, now my baby's running smoothly again! Thanks a bunch!

I also drive a Seat Ibiza. A similar issue, including the whistling noise under acceleration, presented itself some time ago. Have you checked the temperature gauge? Is it showing unusual readings?
