Seat Ibiza Engine Start Problem

I'm experiencing some frustrating issues with my 2021 Seat Ibiza, gasoline engine, around 91633 km on the clock. The engine refuses to start, or sometimes starts briefly before cutting out. Diagnostic check reveals an error related to the immobilizer. I suspect incorrect key programming might be the cause. Has anyone encountered anything similar, especially concerning the car electronics or anti-theft system? Any advice regarding key programming or remote start implications would be greatly appreciated.

Whoa, immobilizer issues are a pain! Had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane. Engine would start, then die immediately. Is the immobilizer light flashing on the dash?

Interesting. The immobilizer light is flashing. What exactly was the fix for your Megane? Did you need a new key, or was it just a key programming issue? Any experience with immobilizer bypass?

Yep, flashing immobilizer light was the giveaway for me. It was a key programming problem. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with an immobilizer bypass myself; it's too risky. Take it to a workshop and get the key re-programmed. It’s a relatively quick fix, and you'll save yourself a headache.

Took the Ibiza to the workshop, and it turned out the key programming was indeed the culprit. A simple anti-theft system reset did the trick. Cost me just 45€. Thanks for the input; it really helped point me in the right direction.
