Seat Ibiza GPS Antenna Problem

I'm experiencing a rather frustrating issue with my 2016 Seat Ibiza diesel. The navigation system consistently reports "No GPS reception." Diagnostics reveal an error stored in the error memory, pointing towards a faulty GPS antenna. Given the symptoms and error code, a defective GPS antenna seems to be the most probable cause. Has anyone encountered a similar GPS antenna problem in their Seat or perhaps another vehicle? The estimated antenna repair cost I received was around 200€. Any insights or recommendations before I proceed with replacing the GPS antenna?

Sounds like the GPS antenna is indeed the most likely culprit. Have you checked the connection of the GPS module in the car electronics? Sometimes a loose cable can cause such issues.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly can I find the GPS module to check the connection? I'm reasonably comfortable working on car electronics, but I'm not sure where to start looking for the GPS module itself.

Given the cost and the error code pointing directly to the antenna, a replacement is probably the only solution. If you are not 100% sure, I would recommend visiting a workshop.

I followed your advice and took it to a workshop specializing in car electronics. They confirmed the defective GPS antenna and replaced it. Total cost was around 200€. The car navigation system is now working perfectly again. Thanks a lot for your help!
