Summary of the thread
A 2000 Seat Ibiza with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues related to the injection system, including higher fuel consumption, reduced engine power, stalling at idle, and smoke during acceleration. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug connection. A similar problem was resolved by fixing a bad connection in the injection system, which cost 95€ and restored the car's performance.

Air system? Fuel? What exactly did you check? And what were your symptoms?

Yes, it was a similar problem. The mechanic said it was a bad connection somewhere in the injection system. I would suggest taking it to a workshop to get it checked out, to make sure. Is it the same with diesel engines?

Thanks for the advice. It was a defective plug connection in the injection system, just like you said. Cost me 95€ to fix. Runs like new now.

I had a similar issue with my Ibiza. Have you checked the air system? Maybe it is related to the performance of the engine? Could it be the fuel?
