Seat Ibiza Rearview Mirror Heating Problem

My 2019 Seat Ibiza with a Gasoline engine is giving me grief. The rearview mirror heating isn't working. I ran a diagnostic scan and it's showing an error related to the mirror heating circuit. I think it's a bad cable or plug connection, but both mirrors? Seems odd. It's a pain for vehicle safety in winter. Has anyone else experienced this sort of car electronics issue?

Heated mirrors are great, especially for winter. Have you checked the fuse? It might be a simple fix.

Good call on the fuse! I did check them, but they all looked fine. Is there anything else that could cause both mirrors to stop heating at the same time? Maybe a relay?

If the fuse is ok and it's both mirrors, a dodgy connection is most likely. I had a similar issue on an older car, turned out to be a corroded connector near the mirror itself. If you are not comfortable checking car electronics, a workshop should be able to sort it. Sounds like you know your way around a car but sometimes it's easier to leave these things to the pros.

Just to let you know, the mechanic found a faulty connection. Cost 95€ and the rearview mirror heating is now working. Thanks for the help!
