Seat Ibiza Starting Issue Diagnostic Pointing to Terminal Fifteen

Relays, huh? Which relay specifically? And where is it located? I've checked the main fuses in the fuse box, but didn't think to look at the relays. Is there a specific one I should be targeting related to the power supply or ignition circuit?

Honestly, I can't recall which exact relay it was – it was a while ago. But it definitely had something to do with the ignition circuit. If the diagnostic is pointing to terminal 15, that's ignition positive, so you're on the right track. I would suggest going to a workshop though. They should be able to figure it out. In my case, it was a relatively cheap fix.

Took it to the workshop this morning. Turns out it was a defective relay switch in the fuse box, just as you suspected. New relay, and the car is starting fine now. Total cost was 95€, so bang on what they initially quoted. Thanks for your help – much appreciated!

That sounds suspiciously familiar! I had a similar issue with my Ibiza - although I can't remember the exact year, I think it was around the same vintage. The car just refused to start, and I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. Did you check the relays?
