Seat Ibiza starting trouble
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Seat Ibiza with starting issues was experiencing interruptions in Terminal 30, leading to poor starting performance. The suspected causes included a heavily discharged or defective battery and potential wiring issues. After checking for obvious wiring damage, the solution involved inspecting the battery connections and the Circuit Breaker box for a Short Circuit. Ultimately, replacing the faulty battery and addressing a minor Charging System issue resolved the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the Circuit Breaker box located? And how can I check for a Short Circuit without frying something?

Yeah, the Circuit Breaker box is usually near the battery or under the dash. Best not to mess with a Short Circuit yourself unless you know what you're doing. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They found the battery was done for, and there was a minor issue with the Charging System. Saved me a lot of headaches!

Thanks for the insight! Took her to the shop, and you nailed it. Battery was toast. New battery fitted and the Charging System is working fine. All in, cost me 290€. Cheers!

Whoa, sounds rough! I had a similar problem with my Ibiza. Check your battery connections and the Circuit Breaker box. Could be a Short Circuit somewhere draining the battery. Is your Starter Motor cranking okay?
