Seat Ibiza Sunroof Issues After Coding

Need some help. My 2016 Seat Ibiza, diesel engine, with 73070 km on the clock is playing up big time! The sunroof is throwing a “not initialized” error. The sunblind is totally stuck, and the convertible top won't budge at all, like it's completely jammed shut. Thought I'd try a sunroof troubleshooting myself, but no luck. Any ideas what could be the cause of vehicle sunroof issues like this?

I’ve got an Ibiza too! Sounds kinda familiar, I think I had a similar hiccup with the sunroof a while back. Was anything done to the car recently, like any software or anything? When the sunblind got stuck, did the convertible top give you any trouble?

Software... yeah, actually! I had some coding done to enable a few extra features. Now that you mention it, the sunroof problems started after that. Could that really be the culprit? And did they manage to fix yours?

Yep! I'm almost certain that's it. They probably messed with something in the car's computer. I really think you need a sunroof reset or sunroof calibration done. I wouldn't mess with it yourself because you could make it worse. Take it to someone who can do the reset for you, hopefully, it is a similar issue! Good luck!

Just wanted to say thanks for the heads-up! Dropped it into a garage and they sorted it with a sunroof reset. Seems like the coding boffins messed something up when they were fiddling with it. Cost me 75€, but at least it's working again! The sunblind is moving freely, and the sunroof opens and closes without a fuss! I really appreciate your help!
