Seat Ibiza Tire Pressure ABS and Steering Issues

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2007 Seat Ibiza, gasoline engine. The tire pressure low warning light is on, and the ABS lamp is also on. The steering wheel vibrates and it requires more effort to steer, the power steering seems impaired. I've visually inspected the tires for punctures, but haven't found anything. Could this be related to a faulty tire sensor, or something more serious? Is it possible that pressure loss could cause these issues?

Summary of the thread

A 2007 Seat Ibiza experienced issues with the tire pressure warning light, ABS lamp, and impaired steering. The initial concern was whether a faulty tire sensor or pressure loss could be the cause. A similar case suggested that pressure loss might affect ABS sensors and steering. The problem was traced to a defective valve causing slow pressure loss, which was resolved by replacing the valve, restoring normal function to the tire pressure system, ABS, and steering.

I had a similar issue with my Ibiza. Check for a punctured tire first, even a small one can cause pressure loss over time. Have you used a tire gauge to check the actual pressure in each tire?

I did check for punctures visually, but didn't find anything obvious. The tire pressure warning light came on, but I will double check the pressure in each tire with a tire gauge. When you had the issue, did you also notice any other symptoms, like the ABS lamp lighting up or any change in the steering feel? Also, did the tire sensor throw any codes?

Yes, mine threw the ABS light too, and the steering felt heavy. I think the pressure loss messes with the ABS sensors. My problem was a slow leak from a defective valve, which caused gradual pressure loss. If the tire gauge shows a pressure drop, get it checked at a workshop. They can easily test the valve.

Took the Ibiza to a local workshop. It was a defective valve in the tire, causing a slow pressure loss. They replaced it, checked the tire sensor, and all seems sorted. The tire pressure warning is gone, the ABS lamp is off, and the steering feels normal again. Total cost was 280€.
