Seat Ibiza Transmission Issues

I'm freaking out! My Seat Ibiza (2013, gasoline engine) with 69500 km on the clock is giving me headaches. The transmission indicator light and the check engine light are on! It's in emergency mode, doesn't shift properly, slips, and makes grinding noises! The error memory says something about a defective radiator oil pressure. Could a defective cable or plug connection of the component really be the cause? Anyone had similar problems?

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my Ibiza. The transmission going into emergency mode sounds familiar. Have you checked for any coolant leak around the radiator? Sometimes a small leak can cause pressure issues. Also, have you checked the radiator coolant level?

Thanks for your input! Where exactly did you have the coolant leak? And how did you find out? Did you also have the error stored in the error memory?

Yes, the error was stored in the error memory too. The mechanic used some kind of pressure gauge to perform leak detection and found a small coolant leak at the radiator. I recommend you to go to a workshop to have it checked.

Okay, after checking the cable and plug connections, it turned out that there was a defective cable for the radiator oil pressure gauge. Replaced it for 95€ and everything works fine again. Thanks a lot for your help!
