Seat Inca Automatic Temperature Control Problem

I am experiencing issues with the automatic temperature control in my 2002 Seat Inca diesel, with 77542 km. The air conditioning system does not engage, and an error related to the interior temperature sensor is stored. Diagnostics suggest a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone encountered this?

Sounds familiar! Had similar climate issues with my Inca. Check the sensor connections first. Could be a loose plug. That thing is a pain.

Can you be more specific regarding the sensor location and how you diagnosed the faulty connection? I've checked some of the easily accessible plugs, but without success.

Yeah, mine was the interior temp sensor behind the dash. I fiddled for hours. In the end, I gave up and took it to a workshop. Turns out it was a corroded connector on the sensor itself. New sensor fixed it.

Many thanks for your input. I had the sensor replaced at the workshop. The error memory was cleared, and the climate control is now functioning correctly. Total cost was 95€.
